It's very easy to be overwhelmed by daily demands and interruptions. It can be difficult to figure out how to choose the one thing to do when everything clamors for attention. Over the years I've fine tuned my systems to help me stay on top of the things I need to do and adapt when plans change. This month, in my How I Work series, I shared how I work with time blocks to give my day structure and balance. Sure, sometimes deadlines or other issues cause the calendar to fly out the window, but with a rough idea and time for various routines, my day goes more smoothly especially during those rare instances when I oversleep. If you are looking for ways to keep on top of your holiday specific obligations, I recommend Tara Swiger's Holiday Sanity course.
