5 WordPress updates of interest

As always, there are updates! Is it important that you read the change logs? No. However, it is important to keep your WordPress system up-to-date. There are often new features that slip-in which can improve how you work. If you have questions or are worried about updating, please contact me!

• Wordpress is at 4.7! The “Vaughan” release arrived on December 6th. The PDF preview thumbnails make me happy.
• WooCommerce is at 2.6.9 and was updated on December 7, 2016. The 2.7 version is now in beta and there's quite a lot coming in this release.
• Yoast SEO achieved version 4.0 earlier this week, December 13, 2016. They've been busy updating the experience to make it easier to deal with SEO.
• Jetpack is at 4.4.2. The most recent updates improve compatibility with WordPress 4.7, among other updates.
• Genesis theme framework is at 2.4.2. The 2.4 version has many enhancements including to their Markup API.
