5 WordPress updates of interest

As always, there are updates! Is it important that you read the change logs? No. However, it is important to keep your WordPress system up-to-date. There are often new features that slip-in which can improve how you work. If you have questions or are worried about updating, please contact me!

• Wordpress is at 4.7.1, this security release was released on January 11, 2017. It addresses eight security issues and fixes fixes 62 bugs.
• WooCommerce is at 2.6.12 and was updated on January 12, 2017. The 2.7 version is now in beta and there's quite a lot coming in this release.
• Yoast SEO is at 4.0.2 and was updated on December 20, 2016. They've been busy updating the experience to make it easier to deal with SEO.
• Jetpack is at 4.4.2. The most recent updates improve compatibility with WordPress 4.7, among other updates.
• bbPress is at 2.5.12 and was updated on December 9, 2016. The new 2.6 version is now in beta.
